Day of Mourning 2019

April 28th is the International Day of Mourning. Across the province the Local Union participated in events to remember those who have fallen ill or been killed on the job. In many locations, the events are held at worker monuments which serve as reminders throughout the year that workplaces must be made safer and healthier, and that worker death, injury and illness can be prevented.

The Day of Mourning is a time to renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and remember the dead but fight for the living.
